Just a year ago, we were planning a few amazing in-person events, and like everyone else, had to put those plans on hold. We’ve missed gathering with our community to laugh, learn and trade ideas about sustainable community development. So, until we can safely get together again, we’ll be hosting a number of virtual events this year to bring our community back together to have fun, learn from each other, all while giving back to others.

Our first event of the year is the brainchild of Valerie DeFranco of Nailed It DIY Studio in Greensboro. We met Valerie a few months ago when, like us, she took part in the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce’s business growth program. Her business is a do-it-yourself shop offering private parties, corporate events and fundraisers where you craft your own project (with as much or as little help as you need!)

For this event, you can select a DIY design or a Ready-to-Display design (or both!) to elevate your home decor. Both options include a ticket to our live virtual event on February 11th at 6:30pm, where we can all “get crafty” together, so be sure to mark your calendar! No experience is necessary, and Valerie will be there to help walk us all through making our selected projects.

You are helping people have clean water with each purchase, as 20% of all proceeds from this event benefit our clean water program! Megan Smoot, a co-founder of Jah Works, will also be at the live event to share more information and answer any questions about how YOU are helping people have better access to clean water. We’re also planning a fun giveaway for all who attend!

Option 1: Ready to DIY? Take and Make design kits come in a package that includes all supplies and materials needed, including paint colors as shown on finished products. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit to create your own masterpiece. From our fundraising page, select and pay for your preferred Take and Make designs online, and then either pick up your kit at the shop (safely measures are in place!) or have it shipped to your doorstep.

Option 2: Ready to Decorate Right Now? The Hand Finished retail collection has been curated with classic colors and are ready to display in any home. This collection is offered in 17″ round designs that are great for a front door, porch or any interior rooms. From our fundraising page, you can select a Ready-To-Display 17″ Round Hand Finished piece to instantly elevate your decor, and either pick it up from the store or have it shipped to your doorstep.

Don’t delay! Orders need to be placed by February 9, and picked up at the Nailed It studio by February 10th at 5:00pm to be able to be a part of this special event. If you plan to have your kits shipped, please order by January 31 to ensure delivery by February 11th.
